The Visionary
Himakshi Shastri is a 16 year old Climate Activist from the UAE who has always believed in and advocated for sustainable living. When she wanted to progress towards her zero waste lifestyle goal by substituting her stationery with eco-friendly ones, she was astounded at the dearth of available choices, impractical prices, and pseudo green products in the market. This motivated her to explore the idea of manufacturing eco-conscious and affordable stationary so that people are encouraged to change their age-old preference. This is how Sustainery Co. was born.
Himakshi has been an environmental journalist for Khaleej Times and has delivered speeches about climate activism at Oxford University. She also hosted a weekly radio show that focused around sustainability on Pearl 102 FM.
Sustainery Co. is her next venture towards making this world a better place. From stationery to Sustainery: she believes it is high time we make the shift.
